2024 NBA Summer League FAQ Scores Stats History


All 30 NBA teams compete in Summer League, which is in its 20th year in Las Vegas with 76 games played over 11 games. While the 2024 draft doesn’t have the star power of 2023 when Victor Wembanyama descended upon NBA players for the first time, or what is to be expected in 2025 when Cooper Flagg stars, there are a number of intriguing rookies and second-year players who will be featured including Zaccharie Risacher, Alex Sarr and Reed Sheppard.

• How many games does each team play?

Each team plays at least five games with the top four teams advancing to a two-round playoff. The semifinals will be held on Sunday, July 21 with the championship on Monday, July 22.

• Where can I find the daily schedule and scores?

Friday, July 12: 7 games beginning at 4 p.m. ET
Saturday, July 13: 8 games beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET
Sunday, July 14: 8 games beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET
Monday, July 15: 6 games beginning at 6 p.m. ET
Tuesday, July 16: 8 games beginning at 4 p.m. ET
Wednesday, July 17: 8 games beginning at 3 p.m. ET
Thursday, July 18: 7 games beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET
Friday, July 19: 8 games beginning at 4 p.m. ET
Saturday, July 20: 7 games beginning at 3 p.m. ET
Sunday, July 21: 8 games beginning with the semifinal doubleheader at 2 p.m. ET and 4 p.m. ET 
Monday, July 22: Championship game at 9 p.m. ET

• How can I watch NBA Summer League?

Every game will air on ESPN platforms or NBA TV.

• Which teams should I make sure to watch?

In our NBA Summer League preview piece, we highlight the Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic, Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards as being especially interesting to watch given their depth of talented young players participating. The Houston Rockets, Charlotte Hornets, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies will also be worth your time. The Jazz, Warriors and Grizzlies have the best odds of winning Summer League.

• Who has won Summer League MVP?

Blake Griffin, John Wall, Damian Lillard, Lonzo Ball and Keegan Murray are among the past recipients of Summer League MVP. Cam Whitmore won it last year after he fell to 20th in the draft to the Houston Rockets. Josh Selby is another past winner of the award who similarly fell in the draft, but that ended up being the pinnacle of his NBA career. 

• Who has scored the most points in a single Summer League game?

Anthony Morrow scored 47 points for the Golden State Warriors in 2009. Cam Thomas has the highest points per game average amongst players with three or more games played at 27.2.
